This position is within WSP’s Mining & Metals division. This division provides a full range of services to mining operators, including all services offered in the field of engineering. The Metallurgist will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to planning and executing projects involving the construction of new infrastructure or the modification of existing works.
To meet these growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a candidate for the role of Senior Metallurgy engineer to join our Indian team located at Noida (UP).
Establish and maintain contact with stakeholders to define needs, present technical information, concepts, or study results;
Produce mass balances, define process flow diagrams, size and select process equipment, and develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs);
Define laboratory testing programs, ensure their supervision, and analyze results;
Prepare and review tender documents, specifications, and other technical documents;
Assist the project manager as needed;
Perform any other related tasks that may assist in the execution of the project.
A bachelor’s degree in metallurgical or chemical engineering, or any other training considered equivalent;
8+ years of relevant experience
Rigor, initiative, and attention to detail;
Ability to work in a team;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Working knowledge of American and Canadian design codes and standards
Working hours may require up to 4 hours of overlap with North American time zone, until 12:00 a.m. IST.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation as well as working proficiency in French language is desirable and will be considered an asset.
