QA Automation Engineer

QA Engineer would lead quality assurance activities across application releases by ensuring test coverage, quality gates, and release-readiness controls are consistently applied across enterprise digital products. The role would involve validating functional correctness, integration readiness, regression stability, and release quality for applications transitioning from MVP into production-grade platforms. The QA Engineer would help establish repeatable testing practices, support quality governance across release cycles, and improve confidence in deployments through structured validation, defect management, and automation readiness.

Test Strategy & Quality Assurance

• Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation scenarios.

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing across releases.

• Ensure quality standards are consistently applied across enhancement, defect-fix, and release cycles.

• Contribute to test strategy for enterprise-scale and production-sensitive deployments.

Release Quality Gates & Governance

• Support release readiness by validating quality gates before CAB / production approvals.

• Ensure scope, acceptance criteria, and test coverage are complete for planned releases.

• Provide quality status, defect summaries, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

• Support post-release validation, smoke testing, and deployment verification activities.

Defect Management & Traceability

• Identify, log, triage, and track defects through closure.

• Work closely with developers and business teams to reproduce, prioritize, and validate fixes.

• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and release outcomes.

• Highlight quality risks, recurring defects, and areas needing preventive improvement.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to automation strategy for regression, API, or validation workflows where applicable.

• Improve test assets, test reusability, coverage visibility, and validation efficiency.

• Support continuous improvement of QA practices, release controls, and testing governance.

• Assist in developing quality dashboards, metrics, and trend reporting.

• Required Technical Skills

• Software Testing | Advanced — functional, regression, integration, and system testing

• API & Integration Testing | Proficient — API validation, request/response testing, service integrations

• Test Management | Proficient — Azure Test Plans / Jira / test case management and defect tracking

• Release Quality Governance | Proficient — quality and securiy gates, release readiness, defect metrics, validation sign-offs

• Automation Awareness | Proficient — basic automation frameworks, regression automation collaboration

• Analytical Skills | Advanced — defect analysis, root cause observation, risk identification, test scenario design

• Tools | Proficient – Jmeter, Selenium, Playwright

Required Experience

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in QA / software testing.

• Proven experience testing enterprise applications or digital products in Agile delivery environments.

• Experience in regression, integration, and release-centric testing cycles.

• Strong experience with defect management, test planning, and quality reporting.

• Exposure to release governance, CAB readiness inputs, and stable production deployment practices.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with business analysts, developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders.

• Experience supporting production validation, smoke testing, and release verification.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with test automation frameworks and API test tooling.

• Exposure to cloud-hosted applications, DevOps pipelines, and staged deployment testing.

• Experience in enterprise product modernization or MVP stabilization journeys.

• Familiarity with geospatial, data-rich, or integration-heavy platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• 8+ years of hands-on QA / testing experience.
